TV GO service freezing with a TV Box

If your TV+Go service is freezing whilst using an alternative internet provider AND using the service on one of our TV boxes then you will need to review the below options:

Are you able to watch live TV and/or catch-up without any problems?

• This could an indication that the bandwidth for the service is not sufficient enough. The TV+GO service requires a network speed of at least 8mbps.

How is your TV box connected to your router, is it by WiFi or by Ethernet cable?

• 
  If connected to WiFi you could be experiencing issues with your WiFi connection. Connect the TV box directly to the router with an Ethernet cable (if possible) to see if this improves the problem.
  


• Check for Wi-Fi interference on your router, possibly change the Wi-Fi channel to a less congested channel. 

Is your internet connection fast enough to receive the TV service?

• The TV+GO service requires at least an 8Mbps connection. Please check your connections speeds by doing a speedtest in the same way the TV box is connected. (Wired or Wireless) 


• If your box is connected via Wi-Fi please do a speed test over Wi-Fi in the vicinity of the Tv box to get a near accurate test.


• If your box is connected via Ethernet, please do a speed test through the same connection to get an accurate result. 

Are there any other PC's or devices using a high amount of bandwidth?

• Try removing all other PCs/Laptops and tablets from the network and restart the router.


• Other devices on the network will consume your available bandwidth. 


• Try speaking with your internet provider to see if there are any network issues affecting your service with them.
