Please review the instructions that relate to the type of TV box you are having problems with.
ARRIS
If for some reason your Arris (Circular 2nd Generation TV box) remote control does not respond to commands when being pressed, the possible cause could be that it has become up-paired from the box. In order to pair the remote again, please follow the steps below:
- Hold the standby (on/off) button and the back button simultaneously until the standby button flashes.
- Once it flashes, push any other button to confirm the un-pairing process has been completed.
- To pair the remote, hold the standby button and back button simultaneously until it flashes.
- Once it flashes push any other button to complete the pairing of the remote.
DUNE
If your remote for the Dune TV box has stopped functioning, please have a look at the most common reasons why:
- The batteries are too low and need changing.
- One of the rubber buttons has gotten stuck after being pressed and constantly sending a signal to the TV box. Check to see if any of the buttons have gotten stuck.
- Something has gotten between the contacts of the button preventing the signal from being made. Please bring in the remote control for testing.
Helpful Tip: on selected phones, you can sometimes activate the camera and point the IR sender at the camera and press any button. If you see the IR sensor blinking the remote is working correctly.
Please ensure that your batteries have also been checked as this is the most common reason why the remote becomes un-paired. If you continue to encounter problems with the remote control, please submit a ticket.
